S EN ISO 20471

EN ISO 20471 - High visibility clothing

EN ISO 20471 is an international standard that sets requirements for safety clothing for persons working in areas that require high visibility. The class designation (the number next to the symbol) describes how well the product can protect the wearer. The highest class that can be achieved is class 3. The EN ISO 20471 standard also sets requirements for the reflective material’s ability to reflect light. Clothing certified according to EN ISO 20471 is also tested after washing. Unless otherwise stated on the clothing label, the material has been tested after five washes. Some of MASCOT’s clothing is tested after far more washes. This is stated on the product. Clothing that is combined can be classified according to a higher protection class than an item of clothing used on its own. The possible higher class is indicated in the label of the clothing using a simple combination form.

Orthopaedic Footwear: Suitable for modifications

Orthopaedic Footwear: Suitable for modifications

The DGUV Regel 112-191 refers to foot and knee protection. More concretely, it means that each orthopaedic shoe modification or usage of an insole must be confirmed by an independent testing institute to ensure that the safety shoe still conforms to the requirements of its safety class (e.g. S3 or S1P). Therefore, orthopaedic modifications on MASCOT shoes can only be performed by the company Mander-Malms Schuhtechnik GmbH.
